Lorena Fernández is an Ecuadorian writer, journalist, baker and educator. Her expertise in travel and food has been developed through living, cooking and eating in a plethora of countries around the world.
Lorena has moved her life and perspective repeatedly. Along the way she has worked in old-school newspapers, written a book about food in Malawi, corresponded for Spanish and English language publications, taught people the wonderful Spanish language, cooked all kinds of experiments with primary and secondary school children, and adapted to life in six different countries.
As part of her ongoing study and experimentation of food, Lorena opened a small baking business in Quito, Ecuador. She single-handedly developed a new product in the Quiteño market, created a website, dealt with customer service, designed her own packaging, baked, and became largely obsessed with all-things meringue. Take a look at the online store here.
She writes about food, culture, travel, and parenting.
